Jerry is an accountant, investor, entrepreneur, creative, and self-proclaimed futurist. Born in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side of Chicago, Jerry was raised by two parents who migrated from the Ashanti Region of Ghana during the mid-to-late 80s. A product of Chicago Public Schools, Jerry graduated from George B. Armstrong School of International Studies and Lane Tech College Prep with a concentration in Music. His favorite extracurricular activities at the time include Football, Marching Band, Chorus, Lacrosse, and the Africa Unite Club.
In 2019, Jerry graduated from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Here, he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Music. During his time, he served as the Vice President and Publicity Chair for the University of Illinois Black Chorus, a musical institution that celebrates and performs music from the Sacred Black Music tradition.
He started his professional career while in college as the Staff Accountant for a financial advisor and completed an internship with the Colgate-Palmolive Company in their Customer Development Division. He also became a Tax Preparer Intern for Badu Tax Services, a Black-owned CPA Firm established to inspire and support the super hungry to take hold of infinite resources in order to create an abundant lifestyle. Post-graduation, he did a brief stint in an Associate role with Paylocity, a payroll, and HR solutions provider.
In August 2020, he received a QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification. As of April 2021, Jerry serves as the Chief Project Manager at Badu Tax Services and is in charge of overseeing internal affairs and the client experience. In October 2021, he founded the Heroes Beyond Capes Movement, where anyone can be a superhero when they strive to live in their truth. His life’s purpose is to guide the disenfranchised to become superheroes and utilize their superpowers in service to the community to impact the future at scale.
I am a Chicago Native, based in the South Suburbs. I have been in the Tax field for over 15 years. I enjoy working with clients to see the growth through the years. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She has over 7 years of tax experience and has held multiple tax positions throughout her career from preparer, to senior, to senior reviewer; she has experience working on partnership, LLC, C Corporation, trust, individual and S Corporation returns. Her areas of focus are strategizing for individual and business clients to minimize tax liabilities and select the best entity structures for clients. She also has over 5 years in tax resolution experience where she helps clients settle tax debts with the IRS or state department of revenues. She is passionate about helping taxpayer’s take advantage of all applicable tax savings available through the tax code. Her purpose in life is to empower people to reach their full potential by turning their passions and talents into cashflow which then allows them to add their unique value to society and bring solutions to current problems.
Sarthi is a Licensed CPA having more than four years of work experience in U.S. accounting, taxation and four years of experience in Indian taxation and accounting. Sarthi has worked on various types of US federal tax returns such as 1065, 1120S, 1040, 1120, state tax returns and international compliance forms like 5471, 5472, 8858. Sarthi is a quick learner, always ready to learn new things and conduct training sessions for team members.

He enjoys doing what he does for he finds satisfaction in assisting individuals who are struggling with information unfamiliar to them. Also, he is a BS Psychology degree holder who has experience in Human Resource recruitment.
